Thankfully, there is a cooler, more reasonable voice being heard on the Syrian crisis. I’m speaking of Russian Premier Vladimir Putin, not President Barack Obama.
Putin immediately responded to an apparent sarcastic remark by Secretary of State John Kerry, who said at a press conference that Syria could avoid a U.S. attack by turning over all of its chemical weapons to the international community in the next week.
Putin contacted Syria, and its ambassador responded positively to the suggestion. Putin now is apparently drafting a United Nations resolution calling for such action.
In his rush to bomb Syria, Obama has finally convinced me that he needs to be impeached. This irrational scheme would further destabilize the Middle East and probably result in a wider, more bloody war involving U.S. troops. Apparently, our president has not learned from our mistakes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But this mindless move by our president is only the latest act that I believe is cause for his impeachment.
We’ve learned that the National Security Agency has been working on — and apparently is close to — breaking the codes that maintain the confidentiality of Internet communications, risking the security of bank and medical records, among other important communications.
Never in the history of the United States has there been such a threat to the American people from its president. Obama needs to be forced from office!
