For the third game in as many days, the Alaska Aces handed the Las Vegas Wranglers a defeat at the Orleans Arena on Sunday afternoon, this time by a score of 3-0.
The Wranglers were again heavily outshot, with Wranglers goaltender Mitch O'Keefe stopping 40 of 43 shots and suffering his second loss in three days.
Alaska goaltender Joni Ortio was perfect, stopping all 18 Wranglers shots, to earn his third victory in a row against Las Vegas during this Wrangler homestand.
Aces forward Nick Mazzolini scored his first goal of the season on a power play just four minutes into the Sunday afternoon contest, with assists coming from Evan Trupp and Peter Sivak.
Midway through the second frame, Tim Coffman added to Alaska's lead by driving a puck through a sprawling O'Keefe for his fourth goal of the year.
In the third period, Jordan Kremyr iced the game for the Aces with his second goal of the season with nearly five minutes left in the third period.
In the three-game homestand, Las Vegas was outshot by the Alaska Aces 134-48.
The Wranglers' next home game is Tuesday night, when the Florida Everblades return to the Orleans Arena for the first time since defeating the Wranglers in the 2012 Kelly Cup Finals.
