Preemptive strikes from the far right

Concerning Dave Mesker’s letter of July 25, “Liberals still don’t understand,” he appears to think like so many far right Republicans. His mindset is “Don’t confuse me with the facts.”

Let me remind Mesker of these facts:

1. The country had a budget surplus when President Bill Clinton left office but was quickly turned into a deficit when Bush came into office.

2. The current debt has decreased not increased since Barack Obama took office.

3. Detroit had been in financial trouble long before this administration took office and was not a problem of either the Bush or the Obama administrations.

4. The only office holder in the past 12 years who acted like he was royalty was Vice President Dick Cheney. He believe then and still does to this day that he did no wrong in advising Bush on many of their administration’s serious errors.

5. Hillary Clinton is one of the most admired women in the world and has served this country with dignity both as a senator and especially as secretary of state.

The far right is trying to put her down as much as they can as they are terrified she will run in 2016 and they know she will win.
