Obama fiddled while we burned

Are we not now experiencing in our country a situation quite similar to one that occurred many centuries ago?

I am referring to Nero, head of the Roman Empire, who played his fiddle as Rome burned. I would to list just a few of many cities that have gone or about to go into bankruptcy: Stockton, Calif.; San Bernardino, Calif.; Detroit and Harrisburg, Pa.

This financial breakdown could have been avoided if President Barack Obama, when he first came into office in 2009, had his priorities correct. He spent his first 1 1/2 years as president pushing his health care agenda, which has become a financial disaster.

Had he spent this valuable time in promoting job creation, our lingering recession would have been long gone. The billions being spent at this time on solar and wind power is another nail in the coffin of our economic recovery.

I hope it is not too late to turn this dire situation around.
