The report I read about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments (he took the Obama administration to task for refusing to give Iran an ultimatum about nuclear weapons) indicate that he was directing them to the U.S. voters. He also made a disclaimer that he was not trying to interfere with the presidential election. If that were so, why weren’t the comments directed at the American people rather than voters?

The United States has been the major — and at times the only — supporter of the state of Israel since May 1948, politically, financially and cooperatively. What we contribute to that economy, governmentally and through private donations, is considerable. Why the prime minister would deliberately bite the hands that help feed Israel is beyond my comprehension — unless he does want to intervene in the election.

I support Israel but would want the present regime there changed.
