The mission of our military is to protect the United States. Implied is that they guarantee American citizens the freedoms and rights we have enjoyed throughout our history. Countless soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines have given their lives executing this mission. First and foremost of all of our rights is the right to vote, without which we would not have a democracy.

Unfortunately, several states with Republican governors and legislatures have passed laws to suppress the vote of some of our citizens. Only the stupid believe they are attempting to stop (nonexistent) voter fraud.

So many have made the ultimate sacrifice keeping our enemies from doing what some partisan politicians have accomplished with the stroke of a pen. Have these young men and women given their all in vain? Is this how we support the troops? Shameful.
