Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer touch on every high school football team in the valley and more on this week's episode. The topics, rants and disagreements are at an all-time high, so brace your ears and get ready to take sides.
Kurtis Brooks and Andre Munyan ran for three touchdowns apiece to lead Desert Oasis High to a 44-20 victory over Bonanza High.
Brooks rushed for 154 yards, while Munyan ran for 139.
“We did a good job at controlling the ball in getting the victory,” Desert Oasis coach Scott Staudinger said.
The Diamondbacks jumped out to a 26-13 lead at the half before their defense buckled down in the second half to limit Bonanza to seven points.
“It was a team effort defensively,” Staudinger said.
Herman Smith connected with Jamil Mitchell for Desert Oasis’ only non-rushing score.
The Diamondbacks upped their record to 2-6 (1-3 conference), while the Bengals fell to 1-7 (0-4).
Desert Oasis wraps up the regular season with a game against powerhouse Bishop Gorman, while Bonanza draws Cimarron-Memorial.
