Police seek man after fatal shooting in southeast Las Vegas

Metro Police have identified a person of interest in a shooting that left one woman dead and another injured Friday night in southeast Las Vegas as Robert Brown Jr., 42, of Las Vegas.

Police received reports of the shooting at the Canyon Points apartment complex at 5421 E. Harmon Avenue around 10:15 p.m. Police arrived to find one woman dead, a second woman suffering from a gunshot wound and an uninjured child.

Homicide detectives determined the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute and said Brown had been dating the woman who died. Police said Brown is a 5-foot-8, 170-pound white man with brown hair and brown eyes. Police believe he is driving a red 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with a Nevada license plate that reads “ARIYL.”

Police said the injured woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital in serious condition.
