A Henderson man accused of killing a man during a robbery last month in a North Las Vegas casino restroom was indicted Wednesday by a Clark County grand jury on charges of burglary, robbery and murder.

Stefon Clark, 22, was arrested in late October and is being charged with burglary while possessing a firearm, robbery with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, murder with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by an ex-felon.

He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail.

According to an arrest report, at about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 22, police responded to reports of a man who had been shot at the Opera House, 2542 N. Las Vegas Blvd. A witness told police he was using a urinal when he overheard Clark demand money from another man. After the man left, the witness told police, Clark then pointed a gun at his head while at the urinal and said the gun was loaded.

The witness told police he gave Clark $200 and then was thrown across the room as 33-year-old Mario DeJesus-DeJesus entered. Clark pointed the gun at him and demanded money, the witness said. Clark then allegedly shot DeJesus-DeJesus multiple times after DeJesus-DeJesus said he had no money.

Security guards held Clark in custody in the bathroom until police arrived, the report said.

DeJesus-DeJesus was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, where he died Oct. 23, officials said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 12.
