A Henderson man accused of killing a man while he was robbing people in a North Las Vegas casino restroom will have his next court date on a murder charge later this month.
Stefon Clark, 21, will have a preliminary hearing on felony murder and robbery charges at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 18 before Judge Chris Lee in North Las Vegas Justice Court.
Clark faces murder charges involving the slaying of Mario DeJesus-DeJesus, 33, of Las Vegas, on Oct. 22 at at the Opera House, 2542 N. Las Vegas Blvd.
DeJesus-Dejesus died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.
The criminal complaint charges Clark with attempted robbery with the use of a deadly weapon and murder with the use of a deadly weapon in DeJesus-DeJesus' death.
The complaint also charges him with burglary while in possession of a firearm for coming into the Opera House Casino with a firearm with the intention of committing robberies.
Clark is also being charged with two counts of robbery with the use of a deadly weapon in robberies involving two other victims.
Police said robberies and shooting took place shortly before 11:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at a restroom in the Opera House.
A witness told police he was using a urinal when he overheard Clark demand money from another man. After the man left, the witness told police, Clark then pointed a gun at his head while at the urinal and said the gun was loaded.
The witness told police he gave Clark $200 and then was thrown across the room as DeJesus-DeJesus entered. Clark pointed the gun at DeJesus-DeJesus and demanded money, the witness said. Clark then shot DeJesus-DeJesus multiple times after DeJesus-DeJesus said he had no money, according to the police report.
Security guards held Clark in custody in the bathroom until police arrived, the report said.
Dejesus-Dejesus was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, where he died about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 23, officials said.
Clark is being held without bail on the murder charge at the Clark County Detention Center.
