These wild folks are going where many have boldly gone before: A Star Trek convention in Las Vegas. These fans set a new intergalactic record—shown here at the Rio — for the largest gathering of people dressed like Star Trek characters ever. The total was a whopping 1,040 trekkies in full regalia, nearly doubling the previous record. Warp speed ahead, Scotty!
