The Clark County Coroner's Office today identified a man killed in a Saturday morning stabbing at a hookah lounge as 49-year-old Frank Almenares.
Metro Police responded about 4 a.m. to the business in the 6800 block of West Spring Mountain Road and found Almenares suffering from multiple stab wounds, a police spokeswoman said.
Almenares was taken to University Medical Center, where he died from stab wounds to his chest and arms. The coroner's office ruled the death a homicide.
Police are searching for 36-year-old Eddy Rodriguez as a suspect in the case. According to police, Rodriguez entered the lounge and confronted Almenares, who was dancing with Rodriguez's ex-girlfriend. Rodriguez allegedly stabbed Almenares multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Police described Rodriguez as Hispanic, 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
