Police looking for suspect in hookah lounge stabbing death

Metro Police are looking for 36-year-old Eddy Rodriguez in connection with the stabbing of another man at a west valley hookah lounge early Saturday morning.

Metro Police are seeking the public's help in finding a 36-year-old man who is believed to be involved with the stabbing death of another man at a hookah lounge in the west valley Saturday morning.

Officers responding to a disturbance around 4 a.m. found a man who was stabbed several times at a lounge in the 6800 block of West Spring Mountain Road. The man was taken to UMC, where he later died, police said.

Police are searching for Eddy Rodriguez, a 36-year-old Hispanic man who has been described as 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. According to police, Rodriguez entered the lounge and confronted the victim, who was dancing with Rodriguez's ex-girlfriend.

Rodriguez allegedly stabbed the victim several times before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim will be identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office pending notification of his family.

As of Sunday afternoon, police were still searching for Rodriguez and believe he is still in Las Vegas.
