Las Vegas Sun reporters Case Keefer and Ray Brewer break down the first week of high school football games and look ahead to this Friday's gridiron action.
Despite committing four consecutive turnovers at one point, Boulder City bounced back to beat Mohave (Arizona) 21-15 Friday night.
“The kids didn’t give in,” Boulder City coach Alex Kazel said. “They decided they were going to keep fighting. It’s not often you’re able to win a game when you turn the ball over more than your opponent.”
Frankie Badgely led the Eagles with 12 carries for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Jack LaMarca had seven catches for 75 yards, and Sean Bird had two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Matt Combs went 6-for-8 for 131 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Boulder City scored all of its points in the first half.
