Arbor View compiled more than 300 yards of offense Thursday night — in the fourth quarter alone.
The Aggies stayed undefeated by winning a wild game at Faith Lutheran 48-28.
“It was a little crazy,” Arbor View coach Dan Barnson said. “I’m just glad we got out of there.”
Faith Lutheran, led by an effective Joe Portaro passing attack, stayed within a touchdown until the fourth quarter. Arbor View’s ground game eventually wore the Crusaders down.
Arbor View had two players rush for more than 200 yards, as Roderick Eason had 284 and Christian Rodriguez compiled 246. Eason scored four touchdowns, while Donnie Gaskin added one.
Arbor View plays Palo Verde next week for the Northwest Division championship.
“We’ve put ourselves in great position,” Barnson said. “This is going to be the biggest game in our school’s history.”
