Marshall Green, arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of his girlfriend, Alicia Lee, was described by Lee’s mother as a pimp who beat Lee several times in the past, according to a Metro Police arrest report.

Green, 31, turned himself in to police on Oct. 9 after calling 911 the day before to report the death of his girlfriend at 3750 South Arville St.

According to the arrest report, Lee’s mother told police that Lee had visited her at work and told her she was afraid to go home because she lost $300 while gambling and that Green would be angry.

Lee’s mother said Lee was a prostitute and Green was her pimp, the report said. She alleged that Green had beaten Lee in the past and had broken her ankle in February, the report said.

Green told police that Lee had lost $400 but insisted that he and Lee were fighting because Green had been with another woman, police said.

After arguing on the phone with Lee, Green reportedly told police, he packed his bags to move out of the apartment but fell asleep in the living room. He said Lee came home extremely drunk at 4 p.m. that day and, after arguing, he “lost it” and beat her with a black leather belt, the report said.

Green said the beating lasted a half hour and that he fell asleep afterward when the sun went down, the report said. He told police he woke up early the next morning and found Lee unresponsive on the floor, the report said.

He told police he attempted CPR but there was no response, the report said. He then wrapped her up in a blanket and left the apartment to call police, the report said.

The coroner said Lee died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries and secondary asphyxiation.

Green is being held without bail at Clark County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
