The two stars of the Findlay Prep basketball team are taking their talents to the Big Apple.

Seniors Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson, seniors who widely are considered two of the top 20 high school players in the nation, were selected this week to play in the Jordan Brand Classic on April 17 at Madison Square Garden. Findlay coach Mike Peck was tabbed to coach in the game.

"It's obviously a honor and you are very flattered to do it," said Peck, who has posted a 94-3 record in three seasons at Findlay. "It's equal to coaching in the NBA all-star game."

Joseph and Thompson will also play in the McDonald's All-American game March 31 in Columbus, Ohio.

The point guard Joseph, who is deciding between Connecticut, Minnesota, Texas, UNLV and Villanova, is Findlay's all-time leader in points, minutes, 3-pointers, assists and steals. He is averaging 18.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this year while shooting 54 percent from the field and 48 percent on 3-pointers.

Thompson, a 6-foot-10 power forward who has signed with Texas, averages 16.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

The twosome are both from Ontario, Canada, and have been playing together since their AAU days with Grassroots Canada. The Jordan game will be their last high school contest.

Findlay (29-2) is off until early April when it plays in the eight-team National High School Invitational. Hosted by ESPN Rise, it's the same tournament Findlay won last year to cap its undefeated season and win the national title.
