Five gallons. That's how much watermelon gazpacho chef Carlos Guia of Country Club Grill at the Wynn will make for Taste of the Nation. The cold soup served with jumbo lump crabmeat and avocado usually goes for about $20 on Guia's summer menu. Guests at the June 2 food fest will get to slurp it down — along with cocktails and dishes from 35 other local restaurants like RM Seafood, Aureole and Nobu — at Rain Nightclub for a single ticket price of $75.
A sweet deal isn't the only reason TOTN's Vegas edition will leave a good taste in your mouth. Tickets sales and auction proceeds will benefit local charities that fight childhood hunger — which means that watermelon gazpacho comes with a side of good karma. Delicious.
