The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a motorcyclist killed in a collision with a car Sunday as 37-year-old Juan Pena-Chavira of Las Vegas.
Nevada Highway Patrol troopers said Pena-Chavira was westbound on Craig Road on a Honda motorcycle about 12:30 a.m. July 11 when he collided with a Dodge Charger traveling eastbound and turning south onto U.S. 95.
Pena-Chavira entered the intersection on a red signal and collided with the car, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries, the coroner’s office said. His death has been ruled an accident.
The driver of the Charger, identified as a 36-year-old Las Vegas man, and a front passenger were taken to University Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
