Coroner IDs man found dead near west valley trash bin

Body found

A man whose body was found Sunday near a trash bin outside a western valley video game store has been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office.

James Patrick Duffy, 61, was found by passersby near GameStop, 1001 S. Rainbow Ave., near the intersection of West Charleston Boulevard on Sunday afternoon. The coroner hasn't determined his cause of death.

Authorities were called to the scene about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Metro Lt. Ted Snodgrass said the body had no visible trauma, leading police to believe the cause of death might have been natural or accidental. The coroner's autopsy will determine the official cause of death.

Duffy might have been homeless, Snodgrass said.
