Desert Pines (5-3) has a major matchup next week with division rival Las Vegas (6-1), but that doesn’t mean the Jaguars overlooked Friday’s game.
In fact, Desert Pines ran all over Rancho in a 34-9 victory.
“It was a good game that we needed to ensure us a playoff spot,” Desert Pines coach Paul Bennett said. “I’m happy.”
Desert Pines’ Leon Hayes had 170 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Quarterback Dalton Leilua went 5-for-8 for 113 yards and a touchdown.
