North Las Vegas Police at 6:40 a.m. today received a 911 call reporting a kidnapping at an apartment at 1004 E. Carey Road.
Officers arrived and learned that a 25-year-old woman had been forcibly taken against her will by a man, said Chrissie Coon, spokeswoman for the North Las Vegas Police Department.
Detectives learned that the man was 27-year-old Jacobo Espinoza-Santana, the woman's ex-boyfriend. Police found him at an apartment at 2500 E. Karen Ave., in Las Vegas, Coon said.
The North Las Vegas SWAT team responded to the scene and evacuated several apartments in the complex. At 11:30 a.m., SWAT entered the apartment and took Espinoza-Santana into custody without incident, Coon said.
The woman was rescued and treated on the scene by emergency medical crews for minor injuries she suffered during the kidnapping, Coon said.
Espinoza-Santana was taken to the North Las Vegas Detention Center, where he was booked on one count of felony kidnapping and one count of domestic battery.
