Updated Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 | 2:44 p.m.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed one person on U.S. 95 about 30 miles south of Boulder City.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was a 72-year-old woman from Arizona, said Trooper Alan Davidson of the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported about 11:37 a.m. today.

The vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 95 toward Las Vegas when it crossed the southbound lanes and went into the desert, Davidson said. Troopers investigating the crash found the woman dead at the scene.

It appears the woman suffered some type of unknown medical condition, Davidson said.
