West LV intersection reopened after suspicious package found

An intersection closed in both directions while emergency crews investigated a suspicious package has been reopened, Metro Police said.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday police were called to the entrance of Canyon Gate Country Club because someone found a suspicious package near Sahara Avenue and Durango Drive, police said.

Police said that the package was not a threat to the community, but would give no further details about the incident.
