As expected, the Las Vegas Wranglers officially signed defenseman Mike Madill and removed forward Kyle Hagel from the injured reserve on Thursday.
To make room for Madill, the Wranglers released 26-year-old defenseman Sean Hurley. Hurley only appeared in two games this season and did not register a point.
The Wranglers now carry seven defenseman. They are Madill, Robbie Bina, Jason Krischuk, Craig Switzer, Chris Frank, Nick Ross and John Schwarz.
With Hagel back in the lineup, the Wranglers also placed center Justin Bernhardt on the seven-day IR. Bernhardt has scored one goal with a -3 rating in six games this season.
Las Vegas (4-3) is back in action tonight against the Bakersfield Condors (4-4) at the Orleans Arena.

Hmmm. I'm starting to think that we have a group of guys that are solid ECHL players...but fit on the second and third lines rather than the first. I wish we had a Kinasewich, Flichel, or Goldie type guy we could lean on. You won't see me jumping off the bandwagon, but you can't praise a team that follows up a home embarassment against Utah with an "outshot 2 to 1" effort against Bakersfield.
