Man’s death in downtown Las Vegas from natural causes

Updated Wednesday, May 27, 2009 | 10:09 a.m.

Metro Police said a man's body discovered in a downtown mobile home park today is not a homicide, as investigators originally thought.

Metro homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said detectives were called to the Western RV Park located at 1023 Fremont St. about 4:23 a.m. Wednesday. Police initially were investigating the death as a homicide.

The man's body had no signs of trauma, Roberts said. "This is going to be a natural (death) or other cause," he said.

Homicide detectives learned the man had been ill before he was found Wednesday morning in the park, Roberts said.
