Metro Police officers arrived in the area of West Desert Inn and Fort Apache roads Sunday night to find blood flowing from the front door of a residence.

Officers then entered the front door of the home in the 9500 block of Swan Bay Drive after a domestic violence call at 8:43 p.m. and found a woman lying in the doorway dead from what appeared to be several stab wounds, police said.

Inside the house, officers found the victim's boyfriend, 45-year-old David Frostick, who was placed under arrest, said Officer Barbara Morgan.

Metro homicide detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and processing the crime scene. Frostick is expected to be booked into the Clark County Detention Center for murder with the use of a deadly weapon.

The identity of the victim has not been released by the Clark County Coroner's Office. An autopsy is pending.
