Metro Police on Monday identified the officers involved in a collision with a car in the western Las Vegas Valley, injuring a 7-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl.
They are Scot Fulton, 39, who was the driver, and passenger Christian Pastuna, 25, police said.
Fulton has been with Metro Police since January 2002 and is assigned to Enterprise Area Command. Pastuna has been with Metro since May 2007 and is also assigned to Enterprise Area Command.
Police investigators said the two-vehicle collision occurred at 9:22 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Jones and Oakey boulevards.
Authorities said a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire was southbound on Jones Boulevard making a left onto eastbound Oakey Boulevard when it was struck in the right rear by a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police cruiser traveling northbound on Jones Boulevard.
All three occupants of the Pontiac -- the boy, the girl and the driver, Leilani Hoe, 33, of Las Vegas -- were taken to University Medical Center. The boy suffered serious injuries, the girl's injuries were moderate and Hoe's injuries were minor, police said. The child victims were not being identified.
Fulton wasn't injured and Pastuna suffered minor injuries, police said.
