The Clark County Coroner's Office on Tuesday identified a girl who died Sunday as the result of a homicide.

Metro Police are seeking a 28-year-old man who may have information about the details surrounding the death.

Patrol officers arrived at a residence about 9 a.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of E. Karen Ave. after receiving a 911 call.

A woman told an emergency dispatcher that her 2-year-old daughter was unresponsive, police said. Emergency medical crews arrived and found the child dead at the scene.

Metro's Abuse and Neglect Detail began an investigation into the child's death.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said the child is Jaylin Anayiah Washington of Las Vegas. She died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen and the manner of her death is homicide, a spokeswoman for the coroner's office said Tuesday morning.

Based on the investigation, the mother's boyfriend, Emanuel Dewayne Dodson, also known as "Lil Frog," is believed to have information related to the child's injuries that resulted in death, police said.

Dodson is black, 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored basketball shorts. He has no known vehicle, police said.

Dodson is from the Los Angeles area and may be headed to Southern California, police said.

Anyone with information regarding Dodson's whereabouts is urged to call police at (702) 828-3111, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
