Metro Police are seeking a 28-year-old man who may have information about the details surrounding the death of a 2-year-old child on Sunday morning.

Patrol officers arrived at a residence in the 1700 block of E. Karen Ave. after receiving a 911 call about 9 a.m. Sunday.

A woman told an emergency dispatcher that her 2-year-old child was unresponsive, police said. Emergency medical crews arrived and found the child dead at the scene.

Metro's Abuse and Neglect Detail began an investigation into the child's death. The Clark County Coroner's Office said the cause of death was blunt force trauma that resulted in death.

The coroner's office has not released the child's identity.

Based on the investigation, the mother's boyfriend, Emanuel Dewayne Dodson, also known as "Lil Frog," is believed to have information related to the child's injuries that resulted in death, police said.

Dodson is black, 5-foot-10-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored basketball shorts. He has no known vehicle, police said.

Dodson is from the Los Angeles area and may be headed back to Southern California, police said.

Anyone with information regarding Dodson's whereabouts is urged to call police at (702) 828-3111, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
