Monique Ta Shae Sims
A missing 18-year-old North Las Vegas woman who had been missing and has diminished mental capacity has been found, North Las Vegas Police said.
Monique Ta Shae Sims, missing since Aug. 13, was found Wednesday night, authorities said.
Sims was considered a missing endangered adult because of her lowered mental capacity. She has had earlier disappearances in which others took advantage of her, police said.
A friend, with whom Sims had been staying, returned her to her home, police said. The friend learned that Sims was listed as a missing person when she saw TV coverage that detailed North Las Vegas Police efforts to find her.
