Suspicious suitcases

Metro Police and the Las Vegas Bomb Squad have cleared two suitcases after they were found in a Summerlin neighborhood.

The investigation of two suspicious suitcases this morning lasted more than three hours.

Police arrived about 7:42 a.m. Tuesday, but there have been no major evacuations in the area of Summerlin Parkway and Town Center Drive, said Officer Barbara Morgan, a spokeswoman for Metro Police.

Anyone inside the 24 Hour Fitness Center was allowed to leave, but no one was being allowed to go into the center, Morgan said.

Pedestrian traffic had also been diverted in the area, Morgan said.

The contents of both suitcases wasn't a threat, Morgan said.
