North Las Vegas Police detectives are searching for a mentally challenged woman who is missing.

The woman, Monique Ta Shae Sims, has been missing since Thursday, said Sgt. Tim Bedwell, spokesman for the North Las Vegas Police Department.

She was last seen about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of White Street in North Las Vegas pushing a stroller with a baby doll inside, Bedwell said.

Sims, 18, is described as black, 5-foot-5-inches tall and weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

When last seen she was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and blue sandals, Bedwell said. Police said she has the mental capacity of an 11-year-old.

Sims is considered a missing endangered adult because of her diminished mental capacity and earlier disappearances, where she was found to be taken advantage of by others, Bedwell said.

Anyone with information about Sims' disappearance is being urged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at (702) 633-9111.
