Metro Police said today they are looking for an unidentified man who stole a sports car from a major hotel and casino on the west side of the Las Vegas Valley, then burned it.

Metro's Auto Theft Section is asking for the public's help in finding a man who drove a yellow Porsche 911 out of a parking garage about 3:30 a.m. Aug. 6, police said today. Police weren't identifying the casino Wednesday evening.

The car was found burned in a desert area, police said. It was valued at more than $100,000, police said.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man or with additional information about this case is being asked to call Detective Joe McGill of Metro's Auto Theft Section at 828-3586, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
