Court date set for 2 in liquor store slaying

Authorities have identified a liquor store clerk slain during a botched robbery as a 62-year-old Las Vegas man.

The Clark County coroner's office on Monday identified the dead man as Arthur Miller.

His death a little before 11:30 p.m. Friday in the store off Tropicana Avenue east of the US 95 freeway has been classified as a homicide.

Jail records show 24-year-olds Antonio Duenas and Michael Cruz face an initial court appearance Wednesday on charges including murder with a deadly weapon, burglary, attempted robbery and conspiracy.

Police say Cruz and Duenas were arrested Saturday.
