Sunday, April 19, 2009 | 2:19 p.m.
A limited number of tickets for tonight’s Paul McCartney show at the new Joint have just been released.
The last-minute tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the Hard Rock box office.
Availability is extremely limited but those who act fast can score floor tickets for tonight’s show, which has long been sold out.
A search performed for “best available” seats performed just after 2 p.m. via ticketmaster.com returned availability for general admission floor tickets.
These prime passes are priced at $191 plus a $18.40 convenience charge and $4 facility charge.

A previous article in your paper (and nationwide) stated the concert sold out in 7 seconds. An investigation as to how many tickets were "held back" would be interesting.
I know that casinos hold back tickets for high rollers and every concert has a few available tickets day of concert. But in talking to people, but MANY people seemed to have been able walk up and get tickets.
Does everyone know that there are only around 700 actual seats in the venue out of 4,000 and everything else is standing room only--including some VIP packages? The entire main floor is standing only.
Most of the "seats" are in an upper balcony in the rear with some in tiers along the side. And the VIP standing room is along the front edge of these tiers closest to the stage. High rollers and VIP standing room-main floor get first chance to enter venue.
Be sure to ask questions before going to any concert there! Also, expect long waiting lines in the sun, inside, and a mad rush to the stage.
The Sun might also want to obtain a copy of the policy for numbered wrist bands or ANY procedure on how to handle 4,000+ people waiting for hours. There isn't one as of this writing.
The excuse that they are just "working out the kinks of the new Joint" isn't good enough.
How do I know? I was there "Yesterday".
