The 60-year-old Las Vegas man who died after losing control of his ATV in eastern Clark County has been identified as James Richard Cap, the Clark County coroner's office said today.
There is no cause of death, the coroner's office said. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
Law enforcement and emergency paramedic teams responded at 3:16 p.m. Monday to the crash in a desert area of the Logandale Trails in Logandale, which is about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas. Investigators said the man lost control of his 2006 Polaris Sportsman ATV and was ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Metro Police said.
The crash occurred about one-half mile southeast of the restrooms at Logandale Trail.
