Boulder City Police investigate after two vehicles collided near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Nevada Way on Wednesday afternoon.

Three people were flown by medical helicopter to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries Wednesday after a two-car crash on U.S. 93 just south of Nevada Way in Boulder City.

At about 2 p.m., a Chevrolet Camaro headed southbound crossed the median and collided with a Chrysler PT Cruiser headed northbound, Boulder City Police said.

It was raining when the cars crashed, and the roads were wet. The National Weather Service reported Boulder City had received 0.51 inches of rain by 5 p.m.

Traffic both ways was shut down for an hour and a half.

A 49-year-old man who was driving the Camaro and two passengers in the PT Cruiser, an adult woman and an 8-year-old girl, were airlifted to UMC. The woman driving the PT Cruiser was uninjured, police said.

Police weren't releasing names and were investigating the cause of the crash.
