Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 | 11:51 a.m.

Metro Police are still looking for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian late Friday in the northeastern Las Vegas Valley.

The pedestrian has been identified as 37-year-old David Gurrola of Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner's office said.

Authorities responded at 10:39 p.m. Friday after the victim was found on Dolly Lane 257 feet south of Judson Avenue, investigators said. That location is northeast of Lake Mead Boulevard's intersection with Lamb Boulevard.

Police said evidence indicates a man was in the roadway near the west curb of Dolly when an unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian and left the scene southbound on Dolly. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information about the crash or the vehicle involved in the incident is asked to call police at 828-3317, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.

This is the 106th fatal traffic collision in Metro Police jurisdiction this year.
