Man dies after North Las Vegas shooting

UPDATE: Shooting victim identified as North Las Vegas teen

A man has died at a local hospital after a shooting late Saturday at a North Las Vegas apartment complex.

North Las Vegas police responded at 8:30 p.m. Saturday to the report of a shooting at the Villas at Cheyenne apartments, 3260 Fountain Falls Way. That location is just north of Cheyenne Avenue and the North Las Vegas Airport.

Officers responded to find a man about 18 or 19 years old suffering from gunshot injuries, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, where he later died during emergency treatment. The victim's name wasn't being released.

Investigators aren't releasing information about any possible suspects in the case, police said.
