John M. Aquino

John M. Aquino, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1934, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired computer operator in the aerospace industry.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Tim Stoffel of Las Vegas; one brother, Michael Aquino of Buffalo; and one grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Joseph Ronald Choklad

Joseph Ronald Choklad, 66, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born June 25, 1938, in Illinois. A resident for six years, he was a dispatcher at a sewing machine factory.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; three sons, Bret, Scott and Bill; one daughter, Patty; his mother, Hilda Choklad; one brother, Steve; one sister, Roberta Sunberg; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Helen C. Christman

Helen C. Christman, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for three years, she was a retired sales clerk for a candy company.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Raehrs of Las Vegas; two sons, Dave Christman of Las Vegas and Dick Christman of Palmdale, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Dec. 29 in San Fernando Mission Cemetery in California.

Anna Maria Davis

Anna Maria Davis, 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 7, 1949, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 52 years, she was a sales clerk for a greeting card store.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; one son, Nicholas Paul III of Fort Bragg, N.C.; two daughters, Dianna Paul of Reno and Alexis Paul of Cedar City, Utah; her mother, Mary Salerno of Las Vegas; one half-sister, JoAnn Flynn of Fort Myers, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Susan Hameed

Susan Hameed, 44, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1960, in Milwaukee. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Tahir; one daughter, Jessika Janusak of Minneapolis; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Doug Heil

Doug Heil, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 20, 1962, in Cheyenne, Wyo. A resident for 31 years, he was a landscape construction operator.

He is survived by one son, Doug Heil Jr. of Ponchatoula, La.; his mother, Doris Heil, and one brother, Wayne Heil, both of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Kathy Amacher of Chicago and Cheryl Bowman and Tracy Heil, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Zoila 'Rosie' Laughman

Zoila "Rosie" Laughman, 42, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born May 26, 1962, in Santa Maria, Calif. A resident for 16 years, she was a payroll supervisor for a limousine company.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory; one daughter, Tammy R. Clark of Mayfield, Ohio; two sons, Joshua Garcia of Las Vegas and C.J. Laughman of Henderson; two stepdaughters, Shayna Laughman of Las Vegas and Michelle Laughman of Duluth, Minn.; her parents, Francisca and Jose Flores of Henderson; three sisters, Maria Inocencio and Esther Snyder, both of Henderson, and Maggie Devoll of Las Vegas; three brothers, Leo Flores of Las Vegas, Jesus Flores of Henderson and Pepe Flores of Mount Vernon, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

James Musacchio

James Musacchio, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired butcher and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Joseph Musacchio of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Janice Leanza and Geraldine Intercola, both of New York state; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Lee Omland

Lee Omland, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1947, in East Jordan, Mich. A resident for eight years, he was a builder and carpenter and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Brian and Trisha Kalamaras, both of Wooster, Ohio; one sister, Bonnie Omland Deschamps of Quebec City; one brother, Robert Omland of East Jordan, Mich.; and three grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Ohio. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Margaret O. Puckett

Margaret O. Puckett, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Saskatchewan. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Puckett of Las Vegas, James Puckett of Henderson and Robert Puckett of Washington state; one daughter, Judith Puckett of Las Vegas; one brother, Kenneth Westerlund of Canada; two sisters, Pansy Adams and Joyce Meyers, both of California; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Donald S. Ruder

Donald S. Ruder, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1931, in New York. A resident for five years, he was retired from the federal government and was a Korean War Army and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one son, Steven Ruder, and one daughter, Jane Pope, both of Washington state; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Charles L. Wilson-McGee

Charles L. Wilson-McGee, 53, of Las Vegas died Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 26, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a 21 dealer.

He is survived by two sons, Daryl Southern, Charles A. Smith, three daughters, Tamasha Humes, Charmaine Wilson and Charmanee Wilson, his mother, Mary Wilson, one brother, Arthur McGee, and two sisters, Mary Lee Jinning and Shirley McGee, all of Las Vegas; and 16 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-6 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
