Business briefs for December 10, 2004

COX ENTERPRISES INC.:
Privately held Cox Enterprises Inc. of Atlanta completed the acquisition of 189,685,302 shares of Cox Communications Inc. and successfully took the company private following the close of trading on Wednesday.
ADOLPH COORS CO.:
Adolph Coors Co. and Molson Inc. said today they have scheduled a Jan. 19 meeting for shareholders to vote on their plan to merge. Montreal-based Molson said its optionholders will vote on the conversion of their options to Molson-Coors options the day before. If the merger is approved, the Canadian brewer will submit the proposal to the Quebec Superior Court for final approval. The companies said they hoped to finalize the merger by Jan. 28. Both breweries will begin mailing the definitive joint proxy statement and information circular to shareholders next week.
