Legends
Guitarist John Hammond and harmonica legend Charlie Musselwhite will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park. Admission is $12 at the gate and $10 in advance. 229-6383.
Symphony
The UNLV Symphony Orchestra will perform in a Halloween concert at 7 p.m. today at Artemus Ham Hall on the UNLV campus. Tickets are $1 for those in costume and $3 for those who are not, and $5 for families of two adults and up to four children. 895-2787.
Trombonists
Trombonists from across the country will gather at Artemus Ham Hall on the UNLV campus for the 19th annual "76 Trombones + 4 in Concert" at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 general and $7 for students, seniors and military. 895-3736.
Free concert
The UNLV Community Band will hold a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Artemus Ham Concert Hall on the UNLV campus. 895-1575.
Big band concert
The sounds of the big band era will be featured when trombonist Art Sares performs ballads and favorites from the '40s and '50s at 4 p.m. today in the Doc Rando Recital Hall in UNLV's Beam Music Center. Admission is free. 895-3736.
Amateur night
The Beach is now hosting a "Local Band Night" at 9 p.m. every Thursday at 365 Convention Center Drive. The event is free for both participating bands and patrons. 731-1925.
Theater
'Alice in Wonderland'
Desert Pines High School's Theater Express will stage "Alice in Wonderland" at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at 3800 E. Harris Ave. For tickets, call 799-2196, ext. 4051.
One-act festival
The Nevada Conservatory presents the Fall One-Act Play Festival at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Paul Harris Theatre on the UNLV campus. Tickets are $3. 895-1575.
