Metro Police traffic officers are investigating an accident that killed one man and left a woman injured.
The accident occurred about 10 p.m. Saturday on Industrial Road in the Blue Diamond area.
The name of the 34-year-old man pronounced dead at the scene was withheld pending notification of family, Metro Police said.
Sherryl Wengert, 32, of Las Vegas, suffered minor injuries and was taken to University Medical Center. She was a passenger in a 2000 Ford Expedition.
Mark Arvizo, 39, of Las Vegas, was not injured in the crash and was arrested as a suspect on a felony DUI involving death.
Arvizo was driving a 1990 Toyota pickup truck north on Industrial Road when he apparently sideswiped the Ford traveling south on the road, officers said. The Ford left the pavement, hit a dirt area and rolled over, coming to rest on the driver's side.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Arvizo failed a roadside sobriety test and was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and booked on the DUI charge.
