Ellis helps pitch 51s to win at Calgary

Robert Ellis threw eight innings, allowing three unearned runs and four hits, as the Las Vegas 51s defeated Clagary on Thursday.

The division-leading 51s remain 11 1/2 games ahead of Tucson. Las Vegas' magic number to clinch stands at seven.

Jolbert Cabrera has two hits, including a triple, and scored twice. Jeff Williams picked up his 23rd save, breaking the franchise record set in 1987 by Todd Simmons.
