Wranglers beat Reign, 4-1, for 1st win of season

It was a night of firsts for the Wranglers on Friday.

They got their first victory of the season, 4-1 over Ontario, in four games, and goalie Martin Houle earned his first win as a Wrangler.

And J.D. Watt collected his first goal in a Las Vegas uniform, which was the first goal of the game about halfway through the first period.

Chris Ferraro and Mike Hamilton also scored for the Wranglers, and defenseman Mike Madill tallied an empty netter, nearly the full length of the ice, with 2 1/2 minutes remaining for the final score of the game at the Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas left on its private bus to Southern California after the game and will play the Reign in Ontario on Saturday night.
