At least the Wranglers left Alaska with a point after opening their season with two games at Sullivan Arena against the Aces.
Las Vegas lost a 6-5 shootout – earning a point – Saturday night after folding late in regulation.
The Wranglers were leading, 5-3, when Aces defensemen Corbin Schmidt and Matt Shasby tallied power-play goals in the final minutes of the third period on Las Vegas goalie Bryan Bridges.
Nobody scored in overtime, and the Wranglers went scoreless on four shootout attempts. Alaska forwards Josh Soares and Alexandre Imbeault sent pucks by Bridges for the victory.
The Wranglers lost their season opener, 4-1, in Alaska on Friday night.
Las Vegas plays its home opener Thursday at 7:05 p.m. against Ontario at the Orleans Arena.
