Grand Canyon minus-13 vs. South Carolina State: $550 to win $500
On Saturday, South Carolina State lost the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament final to Hampton, missing out on its chance to reach the NCAA Tournament. Now, two days later, the Bulldogs travel across the country to play a Grand Canyon squad that’s been off for nine days with only this College Insider Tournament to look forward to.
Advantage: Antelopes.
These meaningless postseason tournaments don’t do much for programs trying to get over the disappointment of March, but they’re not terrible for programs on the rise that are still trying to prove themselves. That fits Grand Canyon perfectly, and I think the Lopes get that started with an emphatic home victory tonight.
