Vegas Play of the Day: UNR vs. San Diego State

UNR plus-7.5 vs. San Diego State: $880 to win $800

Because of the Mountain West’s uneven schedule, this semifinal game tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center is just the second meeting between these teams this season. San Diego State escaped Lawlor Events Center in January with a 57-54 comeback victory, and based on what I saw yesterday, I think the Aztecs again are going to have to do whatever they can to survive.

San Diego State needed help from the officials to get past Utah State. Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack weren’t exactly great in a two-point victory against New Mexico, but UNR freshman Cameron Oliver posted 26 points and 15 rebounds before skying for a game-winning block of a Cullen Neal 3-point attempt.

I’m predicting that Oliver’s coming out party is going to continue tonight, as will the Aztecs’ shooting woes. Keep an eye out for the straight-up UNR victory.
