51s limited to three hits in loss

The Las Vegas 51s were limited to three hits Sunday in being blanked 4-0 at the Sacramento River Cats.

Las Vegas leadoff hitter Buck Coats had two of the three hits and shortstop Angel Sanchez had the other.

The game was scoreless until Sacramento scored four runs in the eighth inning. Matt Carson had a two-run double in the outburst and Anthony Recker added a two-run single.

Las Vegas will look to avoid the four-game sweep in the series finale at 11:35 a.m. Monday. It will be back at Cashman Field to host the Portland Beavers at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
